saturday daytiming

Tried the daytime deal off of Boynton from 1350 to 1800 feet. Current was not too bad averaging just under three mph for the day - I really thought that we would get one. We did 8 drops and never had a bite. Had a lit up 50 plus pound dolphin swim by the boat as we were bringing up the last drop. He kept going and never looked back at my squid on my spinner.

Atleast we fished.

I did an impromptu trip on a friend's boat on Saturday and we made two drops off Ft. Lauderdale without success. We then set up in that slop and fished until 10ish without so much as a slashed bait.

Interesting. I was going to try the area off Boynton on my next daytime trip. Maybe I'll stay further north.

Funny my buddy landed a personal best 57 lb Dolly out at the sword grounds yesterday.

When did he land it? I saw that fish cruising at about 3 PM due east of boynton. It was a monster.
