Default 2/4 Nauti girl report

Had another great night with my nephew. This time it was tourney crew Mark and Cathy along with Richard the slob killer Bajakian.I was running a little late but thanks to a little more throttle we made it out before sun set.Cory liked the ride and was excited to have gone that fast on the water. He is used to going about 12 to 15 knts not 50 We got the spread out and had just settled in for our toast.A few min later Cathy said they had there first fish by this time last week.I said we were on our double by this time.As the words left my mouth the long jug starts to scream. I give it a bump up and we are tight.Cory jumps on the rod and starts to crank her in.This fish was pulling good with a fair amount of drag.We get her close and then she makes a little run.Cory gets her pumped up again and after a few circles the fish is next to the boat.I reach down and bill it on to the deck.It taped out around 53 but was one of those real stocky fish.We take care of the fish and fire the spread back out. After a while and a few fish stories later the long jug goes off again.

This time Mark is on the rod.It is coming in easy and after wrapping itself in the middle jug and comes in quick. It is a little fish around 30in.A little plastic surgery(tag)and we send it on its way.We fished till 10 and headed for the barn.Back to the dock at 11 and in the truck by 11:30.It was a beautiful night out there and as always good company on the Nauti girl. Thanks again guys. But I think my nephew is spoiled.2 trips catching 6 sword fish.

Good stuff Quack. The seas were nice yesterday. A little bumpy running my 21-footer, but I'm sure the Nauti Girl's extra 15 feet smoothed 'em out quite nicely!

I can't remember when our last "jug" fish was hooked. It's to the point where we don't even want to bother sending 'em out! The tip rods are usually where all our action is.

We normally don't get much action on the long jug either, but we've had 3 fish on that one in the last 2 trips Purple LP with a small weight and only 60 feet down every time.

Mark and Cathy-thanks for the ride and a good time. You guys are great. I really appreciate the hospitality. Hope to do it again soon. Maybe next time on my boat?

Nice work guys! The Nauti Girl was on fire this weekend. Killed/released more fish than a couple of the buoy guys combined in two nights!!
