Default South Florida daytime swordfishing 2/02/08

However, only one decided to be boated. First drop, nice fish on, pulling hard hook doubles back into bait and the rest is history. Fish # 2 on and off just like that! OK!!! Third times the charm, very suttle bite and RREEEELL, come tight and fish dogs for a few minutes than decides to show herself on the surface and jump, although she could only get her head out.... TODD, JIM Holy %&$@.... CHUNKY..... After 2+ hours of battle Jim launches the DART several feet through the air and hangs the fish square in the HEAD!!! KILLSHOT! With Jim's extreme accuracy mine and Todd's gaffing was only the cherry on top to pull the fish in the boat.... Have pictures up soon..... We ran back to the spot and made one last drop and gave it twenty minutes.... Guys it's time to go.... Long haul up, Jim gets the 600' mark in and uuuggghhhhhh, guys fish on..... Fish starts peeling drag and darting to the surface, after 20 minutes of excitement, I ended up wiping my face with a rag that we used earlier to get manowar slime off the line... Holy &%$# again, this time it's my eye on fire! Concerned more about my eye than the fish, Jim gives me the nod for the Palm Beach release...... Pulled hooks right at the boat!!!! Good Fishing with Good Guys..... Oh Yeah, the fish we caught was my sons first.... He was dogging it bringing her up from the bottom... We gave him a few minutes on the reel and he ended up cramping up so I had to take over....

Great job and love the story.

I was at the Hump this past weekend and there were a chitload of manowar heading north.

Had a buddy a few years ago re-tie a bucktail since the leader had become frayed. He snipped the leader and placed the jig in his mouth for a second. Much to his surprise and displeasure, it was covered in manowar tentacles and goo. He said it was like hot sauce, but 1000-times hotter. We laughed our arses off for days. I know your pain regarding the rag.

High tides.
