Default 1/31 day report

headed out with Capt Ken, Trinidad John and Tom around 3:00 in a 3-5ft slop sea. Tunes crankn, wind blown and high spirits. First drop - tangled mess. Second drop........Fish on???? ...... ?????? >>>>>> yep. Harpoon?????.....????? why not..... How big is it?????? do you still have it on?????? did we loose it?????? .....it is on, get the gaff. Ken on the hand line and John with the nice eye gaff shot and a fat 60" in the boat......

2 more drops , lost one and headed back at sundown.

Took a wave over the bow on the ride home that distroyed the eglass and knocked the sh*$ out of us.

Stay well.....

That's the guy, the Capn that keeps an extra eye on everything.

Try to slip something by him and you'll be keel hauled for sure.

The Third Eye is watching you. Arrr.

One in the boat for sure, mateees.

Yum:

A nice appetizer of pre-tenderized "pesce m di mare" for Ceviche.

Anybody want a Rum & Ginger?... To stimulate the appetite: Ya Mon !

Hmmm, so if there are tinkers overhead, with squid Hi & Lo and theses toothy critter on the bottom. I'd say that this guy has spent a fair amount of time dining on the bottom.

FYI - for all you Old Testament devotees, scratch swordfish off your list as they are a bunch of bottom dwellers. Damn: blinded by science and photographs just one more time. Where will it all end?

Hey mate, pass the lime juice, por favor.

Great job guys!

I have caught a bunch of those ugly critters on the south drift off Triumph. They are not cutlass fish or ribbon fish which are the same. Look in McClane's.

These are some type of deep water mack with a bird-like tail and a wahoo like mouth. Strange. I recently kept a couple to use as smoker chokers with at least six trebles. However, they turn black in the box. This past Friday, I chunked them on the hump. We had trolled around some killer weedlines and diving birds to no avail, so we drifted and chunked these guys. They weren't worth crap as we did not catch anything.

Juan
