Went out and started the drift at the 49. Once we were inside the 50, we noticed one of the rods looked like it was carrying a little extra weight. I picked up the rod and we were tight on a fish. The reel we were using was new, and the drag setting was real light so we ended up fighting the fish for several hours thinking it was huge. When we got the fish in the boat, we realized the light drag was a good thing, as the fish was only slightly hooked in the corner of the mouth. I must say that I am a little embarassed about fighting the fish for so long, but one in the boat is better than losing 3....
