Heard from a solid resource that Capt. Alex running the Miss Britt boated a ~460lb sword last night after a 5 + hour fight. 121" LFL measurement. Apparently there is a pic at Crook & Crook.

Another slob for Miss Britt.
It must of been much bigger than this one caught back in 2004

I also heard of the fish from a friend of Alex that the fish was 462lbs but only a 102" fork not 121. Awesome either way wondering if it was caught on a 50? Congrats goes out to Alex that is the biggest confirmed fish i heard of.

My name is John Fisher (Frederick MD) and I caught the 460 lb swordfish on the Miss Britt Friday night at 8:50pm and landed it at about 2:15am on Saturday. Alex and Rob were great, even though the initial weight estimate was 60lb fould hooked... then a few hundred pounds. The fight was 5+ hours and I caught on a 3+ pound Rainbow Runner. Was using 80lb test. Here are some additional pics... should be getting some more.

Cabezonjohn, That is one awesome fish. Congrats! Is that your first? If it's your first you can retire now. I've fished on the Miss Brit many times. Ray Rosher is THE top captain in the South Florida area. He is also the nicest guy you could ever meet. Alex is also awesome and at times outfishes his teacher. I think I'd be afraid to bring a beast like that in my small boat. How did you weigh such a big fish?
Congratulations on a fish of a lifetime!
