BBP is 'conflicted' he says he wants his kids to be able to enjoy catching swords on rod and reel but in his heart he wants all his PLL buddies to make a quick buc, which let's face it guys, that is all this is, a quick, easy buck for the boys. The 'research' angle has long ago been exposed (if it even needed to be). Its a farce.......oops, broke my own rull, I swore I swore I was done with this crap, Every time I try to get out, they suck me back in!
Great job Gov.! At least it was not a mamsy pamsy letter like Nelson sent, that guys a real politician, talk about walking the fence. The Governor did not mince words, gotta love that. And as for all this 'not in our back yard, not near shore' crap, I live and fish in Ft Pierce and it will be in my f'ing back yard! NO PLLs in the Closed zone! Keep sending those letters boys....... |

Reply, not directly to you Vinnie, but in a response based upon a few of your remarks:
In this specific forum response , I would agree that I am not "aware" of the "International" context that you try to viligelently make us aware of; however; I may suggest that there is much more concern with domestic politics, before there is greater concern for International affairs. I am right you there with you for International Politics and such, but I truly believe we must get our domestic policy in ship shape, before we reach out farther. INDEED WE MUST MANAGE WITH AN INTERNATIONAL FACE, THE MIGRATING FISHS:this includes the BLUE FIN Tuna in particular. This goes right back to home in a domestic sense: there is absolutley no reason why there should not be time and regional closures for certain specified species. As a matter of fact there should be rotational reprieves, if nothing less to allow for human errors in judgement: since we seem to be the dominant factor in this place and time. I may not have at yet witnessed how friendly PLL gear is towards, the by-catch issue: but I will certainly agree with you that it is the cost effective method, but you must account for the by-catch weight of their matter. |
