Bobby Boyle will read a brief statement on behalf of the SESC. It will be something along these lines.
The SESC would like all closed zones to remain closed. Whatever changes need to be made to increase catch quota should be done outside the closed zones. We believe that no additional commercial pressure (hand gear or long lines) need to be placed within the closed zones to help attain the quota. It is our opinion that other changes should be made by NMFS to help obtain the commercial quota outside of the closed areas.

it should also state that vessels outside the closed areas should have yellow ocean masters powered by suzukis and black t-tops. apparently the swords like that combination, and the makos try to eat the props right off.

Actually Ron, If it's truely a Closed Zone, they are closed to all rec and comm fishing so be careful for what you wish for.
