Default Swordfish Club Meeting

REMINDER, our next meeting is 7pm, March 12, 2008 at the LHPYC.

Our Guest speaker will be Captain Andy Moyes. Captain Andy has dialed in his daytime fishing. He has recently put a 525 lb. and a 605 lb fish on the dock.

We will also be discussing the electric reel daytime issues and where did all the Swordfish go?

RJ Boyle will discuss the differences in braided lines. (after testing them all this past week)

We are trying to get the latest Sat-tag info from some of the fish that were Sat-tagged off of here. We a fish was tagged of WPB and recovered of Puerto Rico????

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the future meetings:
We are trying to schedule a meeting at the Miami Rod & Reel Club in April.
May 14, 2008 Captain Peter Wright is our speaker for this May meeting.

The annual membership fees will be $125.00. Members will receive a long sleeve club shirt, access to our web-site with the latest Swordfish reports and a lot of great fish stories

Guests will be subject to a one time visit and a charge of $15.
After that, they will have to join the club to attend anymore meetings!

Upon arrival, you will need to check in at our registration desk. If you bring a guest, you must have them register at the desk!

We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!

Please report all your fish to our website or to the NMFS.

We heard the fishing has been very slow, so we will go ahead with the meeting.

We will try and post a summary of the meeting, asap.

We will also be discussing the changing of the guard at NMFS and how these changes will affect the commercial and recreational Sword fisheries.

From what were hearing, it does not look too good for the recreational fisherman.

Ron & Vinnie wil be there to discuss this.
