Is the rod and reel commercial or recreational?

I believe that is directed commercial for the Rod and Reel Category.

I would suspect that the Incidental - Other Column would be the cubby hole for the recreational catch reports.

BTW - Does anybody know if/when NMFS will release the recreational tally for the 2007 fiscal year?

Second note - Remember that the 2007 fishing year is the fiscal year from June 1 though December, 7 months. Unless there were any " accounting" adjustments , 32% of harvest represents 7 months of fishing versus 12 months, plus any of the other footnoted allocations, ie. reserve, Canada, etc.

I don't think there is anything on the chart related to recreational catches, as there is nothing reported in the incidental category south of 35N.

The rec catches whether nighttime or daytime with electrics is still just a drop in the bucket when it comes to meeting the quota!

Rec numbers are no tallied yet, but we are pressuring NMFS to do that in the near future.
