Default 10/3 report

Went out today with little hope. The water on the surface was pee green, fresh water is being flushed out everywhere and the ocean is full of crap. From leaves to trees to dock boards to blue tarps.

We drop on the first spot, and I let paul be the lab rat. About 5 min later up floats a nice 15lb Black. About 10 min later Paul surfaces and says the vis is 100' under the 20ft of muck. I think he is pullin my chain, but I go ahead on the next dive. Sure enough there is plenty of vis and its game on.

We ended the day with 3 blacks and a couple hogs. Story of the day goes as follows: Paul has a Black rocked up and grabs it with his hands. No knife no gun. He floats the fish to the surface and I see it as it hits the surface. The fish is going crazy and right before I get to the float It breaks the clip. I'm pissed thinking we lost a nice fish that probably isnt going to live because it was shot (little did I know) Paul surfaces about 5 min later and lets his gun float up while he is at his 10ft stop. I grab it and there is another black on the end. I'm thinking he ran out of lift bags and swam the fish up. What happen was h saw the fish swimming back down and stoned it! All the time I thought we lost one.

Day vs. night makes a big difference, I want to be able to see him coming at me so that I know when to piss my pants (probably more than just piss).

Seriously though, I have got to find some new dive spots because the last time a saw a grouper or hog worth shooting was in the Bahamas. Any small hint of where to look here in Florida would be much appreciated.

Best Hint I can give you is go deep! Hundreds of people dive the 40-60ft reef. If you want to find quality fish either dive deeper wrecks, or deeper reef
