Went diving last weekend searching for hogs and saw a few crabs on the reef, some people on the dive boat told me that they are called Channel clinging crabs and they are edible. Is that true??

I had never heard of that name but looked it up. Always referred to these as Spider Crabs. Very plentiful in the Keys but I've not ever seen a lot around here. They are very tasty - every bit as good as Stones! If you take them only take one claw so they can defend themselves.
