I've been a lifetime lake guy, but have always wanted to do more in saltwater - fishing and cruising. Most of my experience is with 18' to 19' bowriders & smaller jon boats.
I'm considering replacing my 20-yr old boat with something newer. I'd like to get something suitable for saltwater (ocean is about two hours away) that would be good for basic fishing a few miles offshore (not necessarily make it to the Stream). However, my family has become quite accustomed to the creature comforts of a lake boat bowrider. Does a boat really exist that can handle all of our interests? Lake / family primarily, but some saltwater cruising/fishing credentials? I don't want to get laughed out of the water by my saltwater buddies! Thanks! |
