Default Snook in Boyton Beach 10-16-05

Spent all day flipping jerkbaits around docks and peoples boats, and only came up with 3-4 jacks and 1 snook which cut me off on a guys trim tab. I was a firm beliver in Mirrolures and Zara Spooks before I used some of those soft plastic jerkbaits. Today was the first day I used them, and they have better action then any of the other lures I have ever used. They are probally the only lures I'll ever buy again for Snook and Tarpon. Only heard of one snook being caught today. I heard the bite at the spill way in Boyton was red hot yesterday. Anybody else done any fishing?

Default Fishing

What is a Jerkbait? The last time I was in Floridahhh was the summer of `73. By that time much of the water and fishing had gone way downhill. The only soft plastic bait I can think of now is the D.O.A. Shrimp. In backwaters,we had phenomal success with Marabou jigs tipped with dead shrimp. That was from Fort Lauderdale to the keys. Feather jigs were deadly also back when my dad and uncles were young men: 1937-46.For behind spillways a live Bluegill or Golden Shiner will get your rod jerked out of your hands.
