Default Accidental kill

I've never caught any kind of bill, plenty of tuna/wahoo but never a bill where I fish in S. LA. may be moving to Miami and have a question about accidental kills. say a sail/marlin dies from exhaustion while on the line or gets hit by a shark. hopefully this never happens but you never know.I believe in eating anything you kill that's edible. How do they taste?

They taste great. Smoked sailfish dip and marlin sashimi.

He says they taste great but I say that they're less filling.
