With all the wind kicking NickC calls and wants to hit the snook spots since the swords would be rock N rolling out front. I'm game so we ride the inside. Black out the live well with mullet and get set up at the first location. Bait busting all round the boat making the action RED HOT.
Nick gets wacked by the Jacks and this Lady fish to get the stink off the boat. ![]() Hit up the spillway and Nick gets tight with the first snook of the night. ![]() Too many boats make it a bit cramped so we ride out. Hit another spot and I get tight on this mullet crusher. ![]() She went 18lbs on the boga. Clean fish and swam off healthy. ![]() Nick ended the night with this one. ![]() Nick=2-2 on Jacks, 1-1 on Lady fish, 2-2 on Snook. Boo=2-6 on Snook. I just was not on my game on the hook-up ratio .Nothing in slot but a seriouly hot snook bite just the same making for a really fun night on the water . Not sure what the "Normal People" where up to Saturday night . Thanks again Nick!

Nice report Boo. Any keepers? Slot fish are mighty scarce........maybe the slot is too tight
Don't really understand why it got tighter again. Seems like there are plenty of snooks around.

Thanks
! Nothing in slot this trip but I believe that eariler in the day Nick caught a slot. It was fun just to get out there and have the solid action. If you can't have the swords it's the next best thing on a blowy night.

I caught one slot from a bridge in the am I'm pretty sure... didn't have a tape and didn't plan on killing one since I had to go to work. Hoped on a boat at 7am and my second was a slot. After dropping me off, they caught 10 fish... 2 were slot.
I've either been WAY over or way under the slot this season. The new regs really have only forced me to release a couple fish. I love the challenge of catching a slot fish. Make it fun for me.... but thats just me.
