WOW!!!! Real bummer on this easter weekend.
Had the pleasure of meeting him on several occasions. The fishing world lost a great man. My heart goes out to his family.

Have to love a TV host that threw his own net, rigged his rod and found the fish. Anyone can make a reservation to fish with the best and film it, he burned his own fuel and made it real. He will be missed.

Great guy who will certainly be missed. I can remember watching old tv shows with him as a young guide for Stu Apte and Mark Sosin. He seemed to really be able to engage you thru the lens. Sad he's gone.

Jose Wejebe Memorial
The fishing community has lost a great angler, icon, and friend. We are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Jose Wejebe, host of the immensely popular saltwater fishing and fly fishing television show Spanish Fly on the Outdoor Channel. Through his show and his adventures he shared a passion for fishing that touched and inspired anglers around the world. We would like to invite all family and friends to a Celebration of Life in honor of Jose Wejebe, Sunday April 15, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum in Dania, Beach Florida. All those who were touched by Jose are welcome to attend. Further information and updates will be available shortly at www.spanishflytv.com as well as on our Facebook page. . |
