Default Miami night fishing

Been fishing the last couple friday nights for tarpon around the bridges around government cut. No luck on tarpon. A couple small snook. I have seen plenty of shrimp and have used them as bait along with pilchard. I heard the action was at the inlet so this friday night thats where we fished with no luck again.i saw two different boats hook up around us.but never saw a single tarpon break the surface or even tap our lines.i use live shrimp on top, down deep, and on jig heads.fished the ledge also close to the rocks getting kinda frustrated. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong. I'm using 60lb fluorocarbon leader and 3/0 j hooks.

If your going to use mullets throat hook them and they will go deep instead of swiming on top you will get alot more hits this way.

I'm dieing to get out there and try the mullet ideas. This weekend the weather was a little to windy and ruff for the crew i had. But were gonna give it hell next weekend. unfortunately do to my schedule i generally get to the boat ramp as sun is setting. usually get lines wet after sun has set already.
