Got to crandon early. Fished gov cut while waiting for the tide to go to incoming and hooked into a tarpon on a crab.
Headed over to the flats near elliot key and began to pole. We immediately saw a school of about 10 bones but the wind and our cast just didnt make it happen. Eventually we took a break and had lunch over at boca chita. Came back out and hit a couple more flats when I hooked into this monster on my stradic 4000 and shimano crucial rod. Put up a hell of a fight.... I put her at about 11 pounds.. i had the boga grip, but she was pretty tired that I didnt want to hang her off it. Took my time reviving her and off she went... My biggest bone yet.

Ya Harry, I was very impressed, considering I've caught less than a dozen bones in my life.
I worked my butt off poling that day but it payed off in the end.

A 15 lb ****ing bonefish? Holy shit. Watch where your wading gentleman that thing is liable to take off a toe or two. Thats def the biggest bone ive ever seen. That could have been a record bro....... What line or tippet were you using?

I was using 10lb braid and 15lb mono leader with a shrimp.... Haven't got into fly fishing for them just yet.. It's hard enough catching them on a shrimp right now for me

Massive bonefish! Good on ya for not hanging her from your grips though and taking the time to revive her. I'm sure that karma will come around and give you another shot at a cruise missile like this one.
