Default Making Shark Leaders Videos

I have had thing on my list for a long time, but just never got around to it. When I was down in Florida this past weekend, I decided to make these videos.

The video with me making a shark rig is showing how I make my casting rigs.

Hello all I have been searching the web for help on fishing for sharks from the shore and happened on this so having registered I have lots to ask you chaps and hopefully someone will respond. I only get to fish for sharks and other tropical fish when I go on holiday so have limited experience so please bear with me. Why do you have to use such long leaders? How do you unhook the shark when caught? I fish alone so struggle with holding and controlling to unhook, it has lead to some exciting times! I have a Shimano Tekota 700 loaded with aprox 300yds of 80lb braid and a single piece7' rod claseed 30lb. I am currently preparing for a trip to the Grenadines at the end of August for two weeks I have spoken to the resort and I am able to fish there and they tell me they have lots of sharks and rays etc. If that length of leader is necessary how do you cast the bait? I presume you do not require lead weights? there is a kayak there I could borrow to get the baits out. Your advice and help on all aspects would be greatly appreciated. Regards Chris Sykes
