I have a Hot Spot LED sword light for sale. It is about 4' long, it uses self contained D cell batteries that last quite a few trips. It has it's own internal weights and runs good off a down rigger or cleated rope. It about one year old maybe 1 1/2? It is works perfectly, no problems and guanteed (by me, in form of money back) to work on your reciept. This light has lots on green leds that shine very brightly out in two directions. It naturally seems to twist a bit making the lights move, presumably helping it's attractant ablities. We have used in on sucessful sword trips. I am doing a little boat lightning house cleaning as my boat was getting so stuffed with stuff that it would barely get on plane (ha-ha). Anyway, I am asking 75.00 plus shipping, probably about 20-25, whatever the actual shipping cost will be. It is a little heavy so I am guessing it will be in that range. Or I will consider a swap for some of your stuff? (assuming it's light in weight!)

I used it several trips then bought a sword light. Then I used both lights together as the led hot spot is much brighter. The only thing I think is negative is that the leds mostly shine out 180 degrees from each other as opposed to 360 and that can leave low light spots if you are using it to light up your catch while trying stick it. It does have not have totally unlit areas but just not the consistant even light of the sword light or hyrdoglow. It my opinion that it is somewhat the same as the other lights in attracting bait and presumably swords.
There are 30 leds on each side making a total of 60. they are bright and run off of (4) D cell batteries and I think you could fish something like 6 trips on a set of batteries, maybe a few more? I decided to sell it after looking at all the stuff I was bringing. I am trying to simplify and just have one light to deal with. The orginal purchase price was about the same as the Swordlight. |
