shark fishing off piers that dont allow it

who many of you shark fish off piers that don't allow it and how do you get away with it??? i want to try a pier that dont allow it i ahve cauth alot of 30-40 pound black tips off of it and i wanna try shark fishing there so give me some tips please thanks

well if u hook up to one just release it as long as u can say I am fishing for Snappers or Jacks or whatever u can. Just dont bring a 6/0 Penn unless the pier watchman dont know the diffrence between a 4/0 and 6/0. Dont worry about it. Just fish and act like ur not fishing for sharks b/c majority of piers dont want you to catch them.

Well i Fish in north topsail and surf city. I fish from the pier all the time for shark and from the beach. I use a penn Slammer rod with roller guides and a penn 320 gt2 reel lines with 50 power pro. that way you can get enough line for the big ones. i use 8/O circle hooks and 18 inch steel leader with a fish finder rig. to not get into trouble you just don't bother anyone and act stupid the piers don't mind as long as you ain't bother any of the other people fishing
