Some old Penn Senators have a 3 piece spool. I've read that tension from mono can damage those spools but that dacron backing will protect against it.
1. Does anyone know if this is true? 2. If so, how much backing of what strength dacron will work, say for a 6/0 with #50 mono or a 12/0 with 80# mono? Thanks. |
