Legal. They seemingly had caught it on hook and line, gaffed it, and were issuing the coup de grace. A bang stick would be doing the same thing, just from closer range.

You can do anything to a fish after you hook it with a RR but the funny/sad thing about this video is that that shot a small Blue Shark.
They must have felt like dopes when they hit the dock after telling everyone on the radio that they got a Mako! LOL |

I was driving on the Long Island expressway a bunch of years back. I look at the Country Squire wagon next to me, it had six guys and a bunch of fishing gear sticking out the windows. I looked at the roof and they had a 200 pound Blue Shark strapped to the roof. Needless to say we almost had an accident we were laughing so hard. It was before camera phones otherwise we would definetly taken the picture.
