Default Beach shark fishing?? Advice, equipment, strategy?? HELP!

Hi i am completely new to this forum and hope some of you guys can help me out. I'm heading to Myrtle Beach at the end of August and wanted to do some shark fishing. I'm an avid musky fisherman in PA so of course i would want to go after another predator! Few questions, actually a bunch and i got more, haha. I'll be fishing from shore and trying to keep the damage to my wallet minimal..

What type/length of rod should i use? A 10 foot heavy rod with a spinning reel??? i have an 8 footer with a 6500c3 baitcaster that i use for musky but i don't think that will suffice

Braided line? What pound line? And how much line should i have on my reel. And does color matter? I found some yellow Powerpro on sale at cabelas...

Leaders? 6-8 foot with a 300lb swivel?

What size hooks?
12/0? And would you recommend a circle hook or a regular hook

Sinkers how many should i have on my line and what size? guess this depends on conditions...

Also any advice on bait and how to rig it? Whats better live or dead? Catch it or buy it?

Thanks for any help guys, i did some research but am still a little lost lol

Im not to sure bout shark fishing but ive seen a few guys down here do it with a big surf rod 4/0 senator loaded with 80 (i spooled a friends 4/0 with a whole 660 yard spool of 20 mono and 80 braid=20 mono)
A relativly large weight and for bait ive seen rigged spanish mackerels, to triple rigged bonitas and small kingfish or barracuda (anything that is bloody or gives off a lot of scent)

So dont follow that verbatem but I no the bait part is right
