so I just recently started surf/ pier fishing for sharks off the central coast of california.. and was wondering what a good reel would be to purchase, im looking for something not to expensive that I could cast far distance with.?

For surf casting, one of the most important things for long distant casting is the length of the rod. they have really long rods that are meant for casting off the beaches etc. your reel obviously needs to be a spinning reel that can hold alot of line. im not really too familiar with fishing off the beach so thats really all i got to offer.
