Has anyone ever used a Okuma titus T50W? How would it compare to penn 9/0?

the Okuma isn't worth the box it comes in, and the Penn is a rugged, time tested and proven piece of gear. No comparison.

Yes I know the penn's are awesome. I have a 9/0 and two 4wides, but was thinking about a lever drag. Has anyone used one or hear say?

Save up an extra $100 dollars and buy the Penn 50VW International V Single Speed. That reel kicks the Okuma's butt and is only $100 more.

I think most of us tried one or more of the Okuma's when they first came out, effective marketing I guess ) But once they started failing, and Okuma didn't stand behind thier product, well I guess it frosted my arse. My roomate has 8 inoperable okumas in the garage...collecting dust. They happen to be on a shelf next to the boxes they came in. The boxes are filled w/ fishing stuff and are serving a purpose. Hence my description.

Back to the question at hand.I'm not sure lever drags were designed for beach fishing, but for affordability and decent durability the tld's are pretty good reels.

We are most impressed with the Avet. The instruction book tells that to clean the reel, you submerge the whole ting in water and turn the handle several times?

had 3 50wides. sold one to my best friend and the one i sold got messed up. they worked for me with sharks and wahoo and tuna. went to shimano after that
