Broadbill Power Pro 65lb

Does anyone know how much a 4/0 and 4/0 wide would hold of Power Pro 65? Would 1500 yds be enough? Also do I need to put a mono backing on the reel?

Mono backing is advisable to prevent the line from slipping. 65 lb Power Pro is the equivalent diameter of 16 lb mono. I dont think a 4/0 would hold 1500 yards of 16 lb mono -My guess (and I could be way off) is more like 800 to 1000 yards.

I would Say A 4/0 Wide would definetly hold well over 1200 yards

Why do you need 15 football fields of line on a 4.0?

I used 1500yd spool for both reels so there's only 7.5 fields of line. I fish from the beach. When you yak it out 300+yds you need more line then boaters.
