Surf fishing in gulf shores

Hey guys i'm going down to the beach for a week in gulf shores in 3 weeks and want to to a ton of surf/yak fishing...are the sharks in this time of year down there??? and if not what is fishing about 1/2 mile of the beach..thanks so much!!!

I dont usually drive down to gulf shores until mid april. But i usually catch some nice kings and jack cravelle. Also the red's usually show up about mid april. Any decent sized bait fish is best. I have had some luck on frozen mullet and sigar minnows but the fresher the better. If the sharks are there I would use either a 49 strand galvanized leader or wire leader 300# test and up. Good luck and let me know how it goes. I will be there in about 6 weeks from now.
