With all of the talant on the boat I am sure you guys can coax one into the port, even better right to the dock

Hopefully this NE wind that has been blowing for the last two weeks has blown them into 150 feet

I feel much better now knowing those 10 footers may feel like only 8 footers. of course the drift sock will slow the roll to a minimum like only 45 degrees or so

Well, I have had no sucess getting anyone along to film this.

I would be willing to do it if someone can get some equipment.

At the very least I am bringing my digital vid camera. I just don't know how much footage I can get due to batteries. Whatever I get I will put in a format that allows posting and will edit it the best I can.

Anyone have any ideas to work on this?

hopefully the forecast will be wrong but the way they were eating last night might be worth it, just everyone might need their own personal safety strap

I say go for it as long as the seas are less than 7 feet or so. We take out our seavee in the rough stuff quite bit...

I know captain cary hanna fishes the rough stuff too... You'll probably be the only boat out there and only lights in the water.

Got a couple spots so pm me soon for a spot.No matter what this is going to be blast.

We are going to try and make it to the 50 but if the weather is bad I will not risk it.I am going to make sure we all have a good time Even if it is a sword/jacks in the ditch trip.We will have a blast and the raffle is reason enough to go.We also have to help TBF and join

NEW INFORMATION!!!!!!!! (as of 11:25am, Saturday)

Quack just called me. He's having internet issues and is currently unable to post.

99.9% chance that the "swordfishing" part of the evening is cancelled. Just step outside and you'll understand why. BUT THE SHIP WILL SAIL! The trip has been downsized to a 4-hour ICW cruise, which also means the price is reduced to about $25 per person.

All raffles, seminars, contests, fish stories and TBF membership drive WILL proceed as planned! And if ya wanna drag some baits in the ICW, that's fine too! "Pumpkin-Pooning" anyone? "Biggest Jack on a 50" contest maybe?

The Catch My Drift has a large air-conditioned cabin if it rains. The food (B.Y.O.F.) will still be served. The beverages of your choice (B.Y.O.Cans) will still be consumed. And of course, the Billfish Foundation will gain a few more members and support.

And if y'all are bummed about the weather, just think... TunaDevil drove 1,100 miles to be here this weekend!

See ya at the dock. -->UB

Everyone refer back to QQ's very first post on this thread right now. :roflmao:

Being the fact that its SUSTAINED at 30kts out there right now I would actually just show up at the dock to see you guys off. As the boat drove off you would all see me doing this from the dock.

:roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao

Now if only we could charter the sea escape for the next trip I would go even in this weather. We would just need to make longer gaffs and darts.

Ya, he said the boat would go if the seas were not greater than 6 to 7 feet. The seas are obviously much bigger and the capt/crew is still going to have a good time in the ICW tonight.
