Default Swordfish 201 hands on seminar and party

Ok I had a  Who would want to have a party and hands on seminar on swordfishing?I talked with Dan {catching} about my idea and he did some leg work for me.Thanks Dan

Dan talked to the headboat that is running the sword trips and they said we could get the whole boat for a flat rate and go swording the whole night. We can bring rods drinks and all the food we can eat. They would even put up a flat of squid for rigging.I was thinking sometime around the beg of Nov.I will take any input for a date but I was thinking about a Fri night or Sat night. They can take 100 people but I was thinking around 30 or so.Not every one can fish or expect to take home fish with them. But every one will have a great time and maybe learn something new.

Every one loves theses sword get together but hates that they are not fishing that night :???: This way we can fish, party and learn all in one shot

Post any suggestions or if you could help with the food or other things needed it would be great.

Please post up and send me a pm with contact info. When date set it will be first come first serve.

No problem Eric, looking forward to it.

And would really like to stress that that not all will be able to fish, the meat split up is possible if we go 3-3 we should be able to split it up so everyone gets a few steaks.

I actually have seven fishing bud's that will go including myself just need to set a date, so this trip could fill up quick

how many lines can you fish from that boat?

Hmmm... 30 guys that usually fish on about 15 different boats... that means I should take the Dusky out since there will be 14 less boats on the water

What's the cost??

Tek, good point!

Johnny, from what I understand, the boat runs a smooth operation... but who knows what may happen if QQ starts fishing his way... then UB starts fishing his way too ahahahaha

I would like to be involved, I'll bring a case of sword chum. We should be able to get a least 6 jugs on 130's for the far baits, another 4 jugs on 80's and atleast another 4 tip rods and finally 2 flat lines for a total of 16 thats if theirs no wind to fly a KITE.

Cost depends on the amount of people going if we get 30 should be cheaper than a few cases of Corona

We can set up to 15 lines off one side with with no problem

Kite lines on the other side or aft sounds like a great idea to put out more lines out

Would like to try my way as well

I am with Beerman and will drink and have a good time

Have message in with the boat to see what dates are open so we can try to book it.

Professor O is having a party, But i know when i was first learning there were some things I just did not under stand. I think it would be great for those people to actually "see" it happen. Also to have a good time, I'm in with beerman for the good time! Always down to improve my technique from the big guns!

Ok guys need to make the reservation ASAP before these dates are booked !!

Open dates are Nov 3, a Friday, Nov 4 a Saturday, or Nov 10 Friday, or November 11 a Saturday.

I prefer a Friday so that gives us 2 days to recover

Boat leaves at six pm and will be back at the dock at 2am unless we are fighting Swordzilla [-o<

Since we are doing this as a type of work shop so Newbies like myself can learn a few more tricks of the trade and since we will have plenty of talent on board we can fish however we want to a point that the makes sense to the Captain.

We need to use common sense on the spread we set out.

Please keep in mind if you sign up with Eric please understand the boat will go out in 6 feet or less and fish very well, there is a large air-conditioned cabin so if it is raining or storming no problem.

Boat Features
· Fully Air-Conditioned
· Galley equipped with refrigerator, freezer, microwave
· Color Fish Finder/Bottom Sonar
· VHF Radio/Sideband Radio
· GPS Satellite Navigation System
· 26 bunks for sleeping
· Dinettes and bench seating inside cabin
· 6 live bait tanks
· 5000lb. Fish Hold
· Separate Men’s and Women’s CLEAN restrooms
upper deck access and seating

Drew... please change the dates for your tourney. The SKA Nationals are the same weekend and every SKA event is held in 5-8 footers. Not to mention that i really want to fish your gig but we worked hard to make Nationals

I can't believe that I am getting excited about possibly going out on a head boat
Pick your date asap so I can check my schedule. I am content to sit back and drink a few frostylicious coronas, and knaw on a chicken wing or 3. My goal is to watch and learn, you guys can fish and teach.
Just looking forward to meeting some of the "very interesting" people on this site.
Post the date and I'm in, I hope.

Great idea guys, this will probably spawn a ritual gathering of the darkside club.
