SFC Fall Daytime Swordfish Photo Contest 2009

Summary: This is a daytime swordfishing photo contest. The biggest fish does not necessarily win. Cool shots of releases, tags, boated, on the line, action shots, etc are all potential winners. Bring your cameras and keep them ready.

Date:
October 13, 2009 – November 30, 2009

Where: Open To All States

Who: SFC Forum Members (Register For Free)

Guidelines:
  • Must Be An SFC Forum Member (Minimum 15 Post Required To Submit Photo/Entry)
  • Fish must be caught between October 13, 2009 – November 30, 2009.
  • Fish needs to be hooked during the sunlight hours.
  • Electric Reels may be used.
Entry Requirements: (Post In This Thread)
  • Date Caught
  • Several Photos (at least 2) May Be Uploaded (the more photos of your fish, the easier it is to judge).
  • The photos MUST be posted with your entry in this thread. (If you need help posting pictures, just ask..)
  • Provide Length and Girth (Formula Will Be Applied For Estimated Weight)
  • Provide Details Including Bait Used, Length of Fight, Depth Of Bite, City or Port
  • HMS Reported #
Judges For Contest:

The following judges will go over the entries and award the winners at the end of the contest. All entries are based on the honor system, so please do no submit old photos.

  • Finalpoint
  • Darkside
Note: Judges are permitted to enter, and will be scored by the remaining judges and SFC community.

In the event of a tie or close call, we will go to the fish entered first.

Sorry my friend. That fish was not caught today. The contest starts today and the fish must be caught in the timeframe of the contest. Now we have a reason to go out and fish!

And i have another question { not trying to stir the pot} what about the guys who work on boats the captain usually takes care of reporting the fish so how will that work out..

If the captain reports it, do you best to get those numbers from him/her. The more info you provide with your catch, the better off you will be with the judges...

Awsome day on the water with two great fisherman, Got some cool shots from start to finish, At one point Pat started to get a little irritated with me on the camera instead of paying attention to driving the boat, He had forgotten about the contest. after it was over and the fish was in the boat he remembered the contest and foregave me for not 100% attention to boat driving.
