Fished there last summer, got a 592, 672, saw a few that were probably 850+, released a bunch of smaller ones, caught a black, a bunch of stripes, spears, ahi's, wahoos, a sword in the middle of the day on a live bait. We fished 34 days, 2 granders were caught, and 1 was released, but they managed to elude us.

they gotta bite 1st. i usually go out twice a week and it seems the days i go out on are considered "slow" by most captains.

Well if you're not tournament fishing, try live chumming somewhere they usually are, and if you see a flopper get a head of him and chum like crazy, you'll have 4 or 5 behind your boat in no time. You just need one to break your streak of bad luck, then you won't be able to keep em off your baits.

live bait chumming is the only thing i havent tried yet but bait hasnt been that easy to get, we usually gotta spend all morning catching bait in different spots before we head out.
