Default Kite (hunting back and forth in the air)

Ok, so I'm from the north and know very little about kites.

I have a Aftco kite but every time I launch it, it swings back and forth a lot!. My baits are get jerked around and the kite is very hard to launch.

How do you tune this damn thing? I have no instructions and the search function provided no results.

The AFTCO kite comes with ditterent spars for the different wind conditions and you need to change them accordingly! It sounds like you are not matching the spars to the wind conditions.

Thanks,

I have been using the Light spars and it could have been too windy. I'll try the split shots if that dosn't correct it.

I've got the same problem with my aftco. I thought it was just me. I'm going to try different spars and the split shot, but if they don't work what are the other options besides lewis?

SFE not SFC !!!!! and the SFE s are the best by far!!!!! and if u are worried about them sinking, tie a balloon on them and they will stay afloat!!!!!

SFE's..... one kite and you are good for for pretty much any condition except anything over 20-23mph winds(though Tuna Devil's flies in 35 lol).

The Yellow Kite from SFE with the holes in it is actually made for winds beyond 25 MPH
