Default Boca past few days...

Friday: Fished the afternoon and went 1-2 on sails, bunch of kings, and a nice 35 lb cobe. Lost a much bigger cobe later in the afternoon, easily 70-80 lbs.

Sat: Went swordfishing, 2-5 on the 30W's, see post in swordfishing section

Sunday: Fished the afternoon, lots of kings and 1-1 on sails.

Monday: Fished for two hours in the afternoon, went 1-2 on sails and a bunch of bonito.

Today: Fished the last few hrs of light, went 1-1 on sails, 6 dolphin 5-10 lbs, and a 50+ cobe.

Sail bite has been red hot early afternoon (1-3 pm) last two days, just too busy with school to get out any earlier than 5

Trusty Screwdriver through the head.

50+

Nice job! We fished off Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday morning and caught kings and an amberjack.

If you don't mind, how were you catching your cobes? Incredibly, I've yet to get one while sailfishing even with a live bait down deep or a squid-tipped jig just off the bottom.

Fish near the Wrecks. I had 2 down for cobes and this one ate a flatline. Go figure! I'v caught a couple on the kite as well.
Hey you have that Ocean Master across the canal from Rumblefish right?

That makes sense, thank you. The only cobia I have caught off here came off a wreck just south of Hillsboro after a day of dolphin fishing. Cruising in, saw it, finally got the captain to stop after what seemed like an eternity (he didn't want to miss the bridge), and got it to eat a ballyhoo on the troll (always keep one ready to pitch until I'm in the inlet).

No, my OM is in Pompano Beach. I believe it's the only one in the area still sporting a rocket launcher in the bow. You might be thinking about the canal across the street from the Stop & Shop (just south of 49th) in LHP... I think there's a 27 Conch on a lift a half-dozen boats from the street (Rumblefish?) and across the canal on the south side there's a 27 OM. I haven't been down that canal by boat so there may very well be a 31 I cannot see from the road.
