Default Boca 11/9-12/07 Sails, Dolphin, Kings

Friday: Loaded up on gogs and runners(75+baits) and did a quick drift at sunrise producing a pair of 10 lb dolphin. Fished later that afternoon with Ryan, from 3-sunset and went 3-4 on sails and a few kings mixed in All action in 95 ft.

Sat: Fished hard almost all day, wayyy to many boats. Only some kings, bonies, and a 30 lb AJ on the hydro and 0-1 on sails. Tough day

Sun: Hit the afternoon bite with Eric and Dakotah. Fished from 4-sunset and got 2 sails around sunset, one on the kite, one on the flatline. All fish in 150.

Mon: Fished from 4 till sunset, had a really small sail up that could not eat our runners without getting tangled up in the leader . Managed a couple 10lb kings to keep the action going All fish in 130.

Overall a nice weekend, got to play with a new camera and got some nice pics, and plenty of fish

Appreciate the invite once again. That was an awesome quick trip. Those sail shots are sick!

Chit! You spelled my name right too. My teachers can't even do that.

You always manage to get the pics of me at the best times.

I only weigh in around 115 so I can't consider myself a "large" person.

What size are those sails? 40#? 80#? There's nothing to use for scale in those shots. Those shots are great, btw. Only thing better would be if one had his sail up in the jump.

It surprises me that the hook is *tied* to the line, rather than snelled. Snells are generally stronger and result in better hookup percentages.

Boboe, we caught sails as small as 20 lbs, but the avg was about 40-50 lb. I have been experimenting with circle hooks recently in prep for tournaments, and have deff noticed a better ratio with snells.
