i have that same wrapper, i love it, great value for the money, espeically if you got the free dryer.

Lookin good. where do you get/how do you make your labels? I hate using ones with clear backgrouns they are a $$$$$ to install without getting bubbles

General Turtle on the forum makes sick decals

You can also glass any picture onto the rods the same way you do with surfboards.

Those decals look very nice.
The rod looks very good as well......keep us updated. I am about to be building 5 new rods. 3 of which are 130lbs stand ups. I am still trying to decide on a blank. I think Calstar Graphiter most likely.

Are you gonna put the new short #4s on the 130s? Im guessing you'l have to unless you cut down like half the blank.

I think Seeker blanks have a little faster action and lighter tips than the Calstars, but for a 130 i guess thats not the idea

Are you putting an 80 on spooled with 130 or really using a 130?? Thats a serious stand up rig!!

He's recently acquired three Alutecnos 130's.

the parts include, AFTCO #4 new style bent butt, AFTCO BIGFOOT ROLLERS, E-GLASS 80# BLANK, EVA fore grip. all my king, snook, dolphin rods are shikari graphite. all my heavy rods are glass. dont know why, i guess it's the way we were brought up. this blank is a fast taper medium/fast action. it works good from the holder and even better from a harness. with the new #4 it's around 62". the action is around 12" at 25# and 20" at 40#. should be a real good multipurpose rod.

The rod your building is looking sweet. I'm curious if you put a coat of epoxy on your base wrap before you wrap the Bigfoot guides on. I have found out that I have less cracking around the feet when I do that. I'm in the process of building a couple of rods myself for freinds that take me swording in your neighborhood. I'm leaving tomorrow night to come fishing in your waters so wish me a SLOB please. Keep up the good work and keep us posted on the progress.

Nice wrap...I wrap all my own rods and LOVE the Ugly Stick 80-unlimited blanks....Perfect action and not at all expensive like that calstars...Plus you just cant break 'em which is perfect for the googans I usually have on my boat (:

Nice!!!!.....Very nice. Wish I was in the raffle for it. I won't be there for the big drift but I will be there for Darkside's tournament. Hope to meet some of you sword slayers then. Should be there tomorrow but the wind changed my plans.
