The year of red has arrived. Wherever you fish and whatever you fish for fishing lures on red fishing line will increase your catch. That's a fact let me tell you why. We all know that a line that is invisible to fish will not spook your target and lures look more natural. For this reason red will put you on more action in deeper presentations.
What if most of your fishing is done in less than 30 feet of water? Red line should also be your first choice. This secret is now being used by pro bass fishermen to catch more fish in shallow water. The key here is your ability to see subtle movement in the line to detect the bite. Clear line is very hard to see and you will miss the nibblers. A bass will inhale the bait and spit it out before you can detect the line movement.

Thanks for the info-but red line doesn't really 'disappear' below 30ft(it just doesn't look red anymore). As spearfishermen know-when you shoot a fish you see the blood as a dark greenish color-if red was truely 'invisible' the blood would be 'invisible'-try taking some red line down next dive and see if it 'disappears'----just wanted to clarify some common misperceptions-red line may work better-but not b/c it's invisible

I have just recently switched to "RED"line and maybe it was a fluke but I hooked up with 2 Swords within an hour and a half. Got home before midnight. Normally I wind up trollin home for wahoo in the morning. Maybe the Red line was a fluke but until i get a bad day I will keep fishing it.
