Longline Clips and Floats

I'm new to Swording... How does one use a longline clip, and where can they be purchased?

I presume the clip in this gentlemans hand is a longline clip, and it somehow fastens to the main line without sliding down the mono??


I would also appreciate seeing pictures of inventive floats you guys have come up with, to replace balloons. Do you use longline clips on your floats?

If you look at that picture you posted, above the guys thumb and finger, part of the LL clip that you can squeeze together, the jaws will open and you can slide your line onto the clip or slide the clip onto the line.
Remember LLers use much heavier mono

Hi DF: That's my hand on the pic. Like fishango says .... you squeeze the clip and slide the line on and release the clip. I place the clip on the dacron portion of my wind-on leader and it won't slide at all. You can IM me and I can send some more pics if you want. I don't know where you can get LL clips from your area.
