I have 1 Short Bent Butt and two short straight butts I am looking to get rid of......They are used but are still in perfect working order the only reason I am getting rid of them is because my new reels dont fit in them and unfortunately I dont have the money to buy new components right now to build new rods.
They cost a little over $100 brand new.....I think two are stuart and one is aftco. I will get rid of them for $50 each and I can put them on your rods for you. Shoot me an IM if you are interested. Thanks, Johnny

PS: I have 2 Aftco 80lb straight butts, and 2 aftco 80lb curved butts. Any chance you need a long curved butt or straight butt for trade?

That is not true.....so long as you have a #2, #4, or #6 Butt...they will fit in the corresponding sizes of other Brands. For instance......if you have a #2 AFTCO it will fit in a #2 American Tackle. I switch out like this all the time with friends to borrow their rods or reels. I am curious what brand tighty???

I just wrapped 2-50 lb. rods and used pac bay 30-50-lb. class aluminum butts...I was VERY serprised when these fit my aftco 50 lb. uni. I know that the stuart butts also fit so i'm guessing that its the line rating and not the brand that is important.
