Default trolling live bait?

I am new at trolling live bait for blue marlin or big tuna. I was wondering what is the best way to rig live bait on the troll.

Thank You

Bridle the bait through the nose.. they will swim very well and stay glued to the hook pretty good.

last year we were drifting in the fish tale and small mahis (10 to 12 inches) were all around the boat. We couldnt get a hookup all night on the tuna. I caught a mahi, threw him on a hook and sent him down 100 feet or so. I dont think it was in the water 3 minutes until we hooked up and landed a 60lb yellowfin. I was thinking we could troll a few live mahis that we pick up around the pots for tuna or blue marlin.

You owe it to your self to try my turbo rattler its sounds and vibrations mimic the disstress signal of a wounded bait and draws fish into you spread IT WORKS hands down

When slow-trolling hard tails for yellowfin around the floaters off Alabama and Mississippi, I hook them with an 11/0 or 12/0 circle hook in the SHOULDER. Come right across his back in front of the dorsal fin. This will keep him high in the water and let him swim and breathe normally. Added Bonus: hard tails are damn-near impossible to kill.

When I slow-troll fliers for yellowfin, they get a circle hook in the mouth, from bottom to top.
