I love my bluefever Release gloves for leadering and handling sailfish, but for swordfish i use thick leather gloves when handling the bill.
The wiremax are a really nice glove but there are too many exposed areas besides those covered in kevlar. I think the glove provides more protection from pressure from a leader or wire tight on your handle rather than sharp edges. I just know that one time i wrestled a sword boatside with a pair of thick leather gloves and I could still feel the sword, those things are SHARP. I do recommend them though...item E page 92 of the melton catalog. |

Rj boyle sells welder gloves that are the way to go when grabbing the bills on big or small fish... for grabbing the leader, I work with leather gloves from home depot.
