Default Fin-nor work

Is there anyone in the Boca or west palm area that works on Fin-nor reels.I just got an older 10/0 that I would like gone through. Are there new drags available?I can do most reel work myself but might need some parts or advice.

QQ; Hey bud, how it going, haven't been on in awhaile (still working on my house) I'm not sure who still is doing repairs and tune ups. Its been a number of years since I worked at Fin-nor, if I can be of any help just let me know. I did see a post on FS forum about the same questions you asked and there was some feed back, I will see what I can dig up

QQ.....if you just need them serviced as in lubed and oiled, I got a guy for you but if you are looking for actual drag washers and chit I have heard the only guy that works on them, works at Baitbusters.....I am not sure just word of mouth, but worth a call. Let me know if you just need serviced.

Yea the drag washers our made of Cork glued on to the brake disk under pressure an at high temperature, then turned on a lathe to spec. Then hand tuned for drag tolerances. I can honestly say there are no two reels exactly alike, because of all the bench adjustment that had to be preformed on each and every reel that left the factory ,excluding the Ahab reels, which were a production reel, and in the beginning well ahead of thie time, and also way to rushed to production, by Japanese standards (AND MINE), who owned the company during my time there as the operations manger, but thats a whole different story in it self

I have a Fin-Nor Ahab 50 wide reel and its awsome. I had to get it repaired a few times to get the drag tweeked out, but now its flawless. I had to ship it to the guy who works for Fin Nor repair service. If you go to the FinNor website you can find the service departments phone # and address.
