Default Sunglasses

I know just about everyone on here fishes for swords at night but when going after fish inshore and offshore during the daytime what's the best sunglasses to wear? I just broke my good pair and need a little insight on what you guys think (Costa Del Mar, Maui Jim, Ray Ban, etc.)

any cheap polarized I can find that fit well. I brake and loose to many to spend big $ on them.

yeap, any polarized will do... brand is just how much you are willing to spend, and style preference

I have ocean waves.. i actually prefer cheap polarized glasses since I am so careless with them, but Ive had my ocean waves now for about 3 years.. minor scratches but they do the job great.

Costa Del Mar...worth every penny. I am on my 3rd pair of triple tails. I lost one and didnt have to think twice about buying a 2nd. I have broke numerous lenses (once on the way to bahamas, hence the 3rd pair) and Costa has replaced them at a very reasonable price and time.

I highly recommend getting Glass lenses, they are clearer and will not scratch. I like the Amber color, or if you spend a little more the Blue Mirror are awesome. And now they have a 580 type that is supposed to be unreal.

I can see sooo much in the water that i never could w/ cheaper brands.

I can honestly say i was in the same boat the "i break my glasses and cheap ones work fine" boat. My girlfriend bought me Costa's (Swordfish model with the 400 lens ) I have now had them since November and will never go back. The quality of the lens is much better. A glass lens is stronger and much cleaner/clear then cheap polarized lenses. I can honestly say my eyes feel much better wearing them as far as light giving me a headache or making it harder to see once you step right into a darker place. When you have better glasses you tend to take care of them a lot more. Also with the cheapies i would only make sure i had them while going on the boat, with the costas i like them so much i make sure i have them every time i leave the house! Good luck! i also know Costas have great customer satisfaction and will fix pretty much anything for you!

I personally believe that your eyes are too valuable to wear cheap sunglasses.
Costas are a great value.
If you want a bargain you can buy them at El Capitan for $99.
Costas are very sturdy and will last a very long time if cared for.
I left my glasses behind once and bought some cheepies at a pharmacy in the keys. Honestly i could not wear them the distortion was so bad.
I find a good pair of polarized glasses are essential on the water.

There are certain things in life that are worth the extra change: Good food, Good glasses, good shoes, Bad girls, and my personal favorite good tackle. Or is my favorite Bad girls?

Default sunglasses

Why is it, when you buy expensive glasses, you break them or loose them over the side of the boat right away, butt when you buy cheap glasses, they last forever.....?

I usually would tell you to purchase a cheap polorized pair from any tackle or sports shop, but i just broke down and grabbed a pair of Bolle polorized glasses. They fit and feel great even when wearing a hat. No irritation where they rest on your ear. You cant hardly feel them on. Also hug nicely to your head even when looking down or bending over. Im impressed with them. Now if i can only not sit on them or something like that that would be great !!
I paid $120.00 at dicks sporting goods. On line may be less.

Costas. Blue mirror for offshore. Glass lenses. Pick the frame style you like.

I used to wear the cheapies too.

Default Maui's

For me I'm a Maui fan. Been one for over 15 years and wouldn't use anything but Maui's.
Yes they are pricey but you get almost free replacements. When mine get scratchy or broken all to hell. I send them back to Maui ( actually they are in Illinois) for $60.00 they send me brand new ones, new case too !
I already have sun damaged eyes ( I think its called tridgidom) My Doc says its from when I was a kid. I don't want any more damage and the Maui's do help. They are polarized 3 times. So if you ask me they are 3 times better than the cheapos
