What hooks do you use when swordfishing? I've been using different
9/0 hooks and I was wondering what folks used? cheers, arthur

i eather use the lp black carbon hook thats avaliable at bobies shop or a 9/0 stainless custom off set. I personaly dont think the hook matters just make sure its sharp.

I have LP 9/0 Hooks here in the shop. I will put them online shortly. In my opinion they are the best hooks. They sharpen easily and are offset perfectly.

Longliners hook fish with them all the time..

A commercial friend of mine uses 9/0 Owner for everything. Grouper to Swords. Sais its the best hook out there for scavenger species.

Tuna's a different story.

10/0 gamagatzu (sp) offset needle eye. no chafe gear, 200 pound mono, 10 foot leader, 18 foot wind-on, 100 pound tritanium suffix. my swordog equation.
