Here in MA we have a short season of them. I have found the
best rigs imitate the small shrimp. A chain of GOLD flies seem to outfish everything else. If you tie flies.. Gold Mylar tubing tied front and rear with a slight unraveled section on the rear. Then rig them up with clear mono like a sabiki. Attach a diamond jig and troll till you find them, then stop and jig. I have caught over 400 lbs in 2 hours with 2 guys using this rig. It simply works. I have given some of these to others, and they have caught bait fish down to FL and on the West coast, CA and Cabo. |

Hey Cary... which light are you using to catch those big fish?
-Tek I use a swordlight which works well when I have time to put it out. Believe it or not I have caught my biggest fish in the dark.
