Default Fishing reel company to car company analogies/comparisons...

I was thinking about how car companys compare to fishing reel companys, as far as affordability, reliability, craftsmanship, maintenence, and aesthetics are concerned... I thought many of you might find this interesting and somewhat helpfull when choosing your next reel... I own at least one of all of these reels, so I do know a little about what I'm talking about...

Accurate = Bentley, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Lambroghini, etc... A precision crafted and machined, luxurious, and expensive product that requires more maintenance than the standard company's product... Warrentys and customer service are great, but If you crash one of these cars (IE: Dropping the reel on the ground), they never seem to work the same again, even after being fixed...

Shimano & Daiwa = Honda, Toyota, etc... A reasonably priced, well made, reliable, low maintenance product that will hold up so long as it is not abused... Customer service has set the standard in the industry... As has the quality of their products...

Avet = Dodge... Although the company has produced products with serious problems in the past, they seem to have redeemed themselves by producing well made, affordable, attractive, reliable, and (in some cases), wholly original products... Customer service is also on par with that of the best in the industry...

Penn = Caddilac... A well made American product with a track record that speaks for itself (a good one)... Once the standard in the inductry, their lack of technological innovation has since left them a shoe out of the race for the top product...
