Need more information - what kind of reel - how heavy is the line - how deep is the water and what are you fishing for. Harry

That's a bigger reel than you need and i hope it's two speed. A VSW70 would be more than enough. You need at least 1500 yards of 80# braid and you can either fill the reel completley with braid from a "bulk spool", connect two spools to fill the reel, or back the braid with mono. You need the 1500 yards as you are going to be fishing in 1600+ feet and a break-off near the surface could lose you over 2000 feet of line. I have no idea how much 80# braid an 80 wide holds but PM Jahmusa (Tek) on the forum. He owns Reel Pro Shop and can tell you exactly how to get the job done. He's one of us and we try to patronize the businesses of forum members when we can - besides he's the best. Harry
