Default Wind on Leaders - Buy or make your own?

I have a question for the board on wind-on leaders. Do you suggest to buy them or make your own? Which are best to buy? If you make your own, any suggestions on which knots to use, etc.? I have a TLD 50 LRS with 80 lb spectra (No mono on top). Any thoughts? Thanks.

Default Heres what i do

I have the same reels spooled with 130lbs spectra kevlar. And the only way that I have found to use a wind on leader goes as follows. With kevlar it is very hard to tie a bimini so what i do is take 80lbs mono and make a bimini on one end the use a no name knot to attach it to the kevlar. Then i string out about 5 feet of that 20 and make another bimini twist. Then you can attach your windon right to that. The only problem is you have 50 class rods the bimini twist with the 80lbs line and get caught. I have 80 class rods and it works fine.

I suggest going to a tackle store and picking up a knot book and learn all you can it is so nice to cut stuff away and not worry about re-tieing

Thanks Tague. I found a good site which shows step-by-step instructions on how to make a wind-on leader. Check #5 on the link below. Thanks
