Shakespeare makes one as well as a couple that you can get in Outdoor World or in their catalog. The only problem with them is that they have a tendency to be inaccurate in that line can slip through them without the mechanism registering. Also if used on the boat can easily be dropped overbaord so a safety line of some type should be kept on them.

I have found the most accurate method of measuring line is to simply take a measured 50feet somewhere and let your line out around the 50 feet and floss a small mark on it at whatever intervals you want. You can even vary the floss colors as they make marking floss in no less than 6 different colors. We mark our lines every 50 feet when wahoo trolling so we can stagger 5 lines on a small boat and not have tangles and crosses when we make tight turns. I hope this was helpful. Harry
